Compatabile with most modern Combi boilers, Hive uses advanced connectivity to allow you to talk to your boiler and radiators to take full control over your home’s temperature range.
Not only can you more easily set your boilers routines for heating and hot water, but you can easily intervene to make major or micro adjustments to your heating schedule by using either the wall-mounted thermostat or remotely using the Hive App.
A true ‘Smart’ thermostat, Hive can talk to individual TRVs fitted to your radiators to change the temperatures between each room, allowing you to save on heating rooms that aren’t seeing much use, or give those rooms that are a bit of a boost.
The Hive App for mobile makes controlling your heating even easier, allowing you to activate your heating before you get home to ensure your house or flat is already warm on arrival. Even smarter, the app utilises Geolocation technology to notice when you have left the home, giving you the option to turn your heating off if you have forgotten so you don’t heat an empty home.

Hive can be installed on nearly any heating system that utilises TRVs and smart connectivity. Call us on 0800 689 1723 if you are unsure whether your current heating system is compatible.

The wall-mounted thermostat requires 4x AA batteries which are supplied with the unit

Sadly, the standard HIVE unit does not work with underfloor heating at this time.

How to set up your hive account?
Once your engineer has installed the Hive Active Heating kit, follow the steps below to complete your online account set up either at hivehome.com or through the app.
Set up using the website
Visit hivehome.com.
Log in using the Hive account details you'll have received by email.
When prompted to do so, enter your hub ID - this is the 6 digit code you'll find on the sticker on the underside of your Hive hub for example ABC-123.
Once the hub ID has been entered, setup is complete and you're ready to start controlling your heating remotely.
Set up using the smartphone app
Download the Hive app from the Google Play Store or iTunes App Store.
Log in using the Hive account details you'll have received by email.
