Combination boilers combine heating systems with efficient water heating with powerful central heating in one. This is the system great for most homes. They are easy to install, compact, and available in a range of size and outputs.
Advantages of a combi boiler

There is no need for any separate tanks or cylinders with combination boilers. Gas combi boilers are excellent for smaller properties.

However, the most crucial factor when choosing your boiler is the kW output required. kW outputs relate to the size of the boiler and are reliant on the number of bathrooms and radiators present within your household. The higher the kW output of your boiler, the better the supply of hot water you will receive.
Here is a simple guide to average kW output needed based on the type of property you own:
24-27kW | 1-2 bedrooms,10 radiators, 1 bathroom |
28-34kW | 3-4 bedroom,15 radiators, 1-2 bathrooms |
35-42kW | 4 or more bedrooms, 20 radiators, 2+ bathrooms |
System Boiler
System boilers (also known as sealed-system boilers) are generally suitable for a variety of homes, particularly properties that have more than average demand for hot water. These boilers are manufactured to provide both heating and hot water with the use of additional storage cylinder.
Advantages of a System Boiler
Compact
No cold water tank is required, which means that it could take up less space.
Efficient to run
A new system boiler installation could help lower your energy bills as hot water is pumped through the radiators and the hot water cylinder.
Provides a constant hot-water supply to multiple taps
System boilers are manufactured to ensure hot water is delivered contumeliously. You can run multiple taps at the same time without any restraints.

There is a wide range of system boilers available, all varying in size, model and brand to suit a diverse range of households. During the no-obligation free survey, our surveyor will identify your needs and will be able to advise which boiler is most suitable for you.
However, things you should consider before picking your system boiler: your average heat and hot water usage, and you should also consider the kW output.
