ECO Boiler Funding for Pensioners in receipt of Pension Credit Guarantee

Central heating grants and boiler replacement grants are available for pensioners in receipt of the Pension Credit Guarantee.

If you are a pensioner and in receipt of pension credit guaranteed, and you don't have a boiler or radiator at the property. You have access to gas on your property. You might be eligible for the funding. If you don’t have a gas meter in the property, you might be eligible for a free gas meter to be installed on your property. You can apply here.

Free First Time Central Heating grants for qualifying properties

The ECO boiler scheme helps qualifying properties get energy efficiency improvements installed. Properties that don’t have and never have had a boiler or radiators in the property and are connected to gas mains might be eligible for First-Time Central Heating Grant. Don’t have a gas meter? First-Time Central Heating grant allows you to get a new boiler and radiators installed in your property installed for free or at a fraction of the cost. 

What is the ECO funding?

I am a pensioner. Am I entitled to a grant for First-Time Central Heating or boiler replacement?

If you are a pensioner in receipt of a Pension Credit Guarantee, you are a homeowner who could be eligible for the funding. 

If you are receiving the Pension Credit Guarantee, you could check if you might be eligible. According to the latest Government figures, more than 3 million households across the country might be eligible for Pension Credit. Millions fail to claim it because they are unaware they might be eligible for it. 

What is pension credit guaranteed?

A pension credit guarantee is an income-related benefit that tops up pensioners’ income if they are below 173.75 for a single person or 265.20 for couples. Please visit the government website and see if you would qualify.
